Report on 2008 Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child began in the United States in 1993
with 28,000 shoe box gifts. OCC brings joy and hope to children
in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe
boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Since 1993, more
than 61 million shoe boxes have been packed, shipped, and delivered
across the globe. People of all ages can be involved in this simple,
hands-on missions project while focusing on the true
meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ.
 

First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant serves as the
regional collection point for Erie County
and the surrounding area.

During the collection period in November 2008,
we received a total of 15,015 shoeboxes.

Praise God for this wonderful outpouring of His grace.
