Rev. Stephen E. Morse joined the staff of First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant as a part-time Parish Associate in September of 2006. Rev. Morse assists the pastor, the elders, and the deacons in providing pastoral care for the congregation.

Rev. Morse was born in Battle Creek, Michigan. He graduated in 1959 from Midland (MI) High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1964 from Parsons College in Iowa and his Master of Divinity degree in 1968 from the
Divinity School of Drake University.

Rev. Morse was ordained on June 16, 1968 in the Presbytery of Lake Huron. Over the course of his 40 years of ministry, he has served congregations in Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Alabama, and Pennsylvania. Most recently, he served for 13 years as the pastor of the Westminster Presbyterian Church here in Erie. Rev. Morse received Honorable Retirement from the Presbytery of Lake Erie on June 30, 2006.

Rev. Morse has been married for 47 years to his wife, Elaine. They have two grown children and three grandchildren. Rev. Morse has had a life-long interest in railroading. He also considers photography and travel as his hobbies.
