This year Gregg is
celebrating his 20th year of licensed and ordained ministry. He is a
1986 graduate of L.I.F.E. Bible College at Los Angeles—now LIFE Pacific
College—where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral
Ministry. He earned his Master of Arts degree in Theology at Fuller
Theological Seminary in 1991 and a Master of Theology (Th.M.) at Fuller
in 1999. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry degree at
Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and plans to graduate in 2007.
Gregg has served in a variety of pastoral and educational ministries. He
was the founding pastor of the Guadalupe Foursquare Church. He taught on
the part time faculty of L.I.F.E. Bible College from 1988-1993. He has
also served numerous churches as a youth worker and Associate Pastor and
has helped to train the lay leadership of Victory Outreach, an
inner-city based denomination. Gregg has also published several
scholarly articles and book reviews and written a variety of articles
for more popular journals and newspapers.
In 1995 Gregg entered the process for ordination in the Presbyterian
Church (USA). He was ordained in 1998 and was installed as the Pastor of
the Tomales and Two Rock Valley Presbyterian Churches in northern
California. In 2004 he accepted a call to serve as the Associate Pastor
of First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant in Erie, PA.
The congregation of First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant extended
Gregg's
Terms of Call and named him Acting Head of Staff in August of 2006.
Gregg and his wife Tracey were married in 1990. They have two sons,
Mark, age 6, and Brooks, age 3. For fun, Gregg enjoys spending as much
time as possible with Tracey, wrestling and playing with Mark and
Brooks, and watching baseball!
