Lisa Hiegel became
Director of Covenant Preschool during the summer of 2005. Lisa was born and
raised in Erie. She attended Mercyhurst Preparatory High School and
graduated from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, NY with a degree in
Psychology
and Elementary Education.
She has taught at Covenant Preschool since 2000, working with our three-year-old students. Prior to coming to work at Covenant Preschool, Lisa worked in the Erie Diocesan Schools teaching a variety of subjects
Lisa has served as a Rainbow group leader and as the women’s varsity volleyball coach for Mercyhurst Preparatory High School. She has also been involved with Earth Day activities, the United Way, the Emmaus soup kitchen, and the food pantry.
In her spare time,
Lisa enjoys playing volleyball, horseback riding, and reading. She is
married to Todd Hiegel and has three children: Justin, who is sixteen, Seth,
who is nine, and Madison—pictured above with her mom—who is six. Both Seth
and Maddie
attended Covenant Preschool.
